Thrive Hub: your starting place as an early career chiropractor, physiotherapist or osteopath
Why ThriveHub will stop you being a negative graduate statistic
The statistics around health profession churn of new graduates don’t make for easy reading:
· 10 % of new health professionals exit their professional register within the first four years;
· As many as 28% of recent chiropractic graduates leave the profession every year;
· Osteopathy graduates feel more confident at graduation than after six months in practice;
· Peer support and mentoring is seen as essential by early career cliniciansf but difficult to access.
Every year, capable, intelligent clinicians graduate feeling excited, but also quietly unsure.
They’ve passed their exams. They know the theory. But many don’t yet feel confident navigating the realities of practice. There is often a disconnect between the expectations of clinic owners or department heads, and those of the new graduate. One is often focussed on bottom line, patient retention and other metrics of practice growth, while the other wants time and support to be able to develop skills in the real world.
Early-career overwhelm is rarely a competence issue - it’s a confidence and communication gap.
That’s where Thrive Hub comes in.
Our graduates are clinically trained, and eager to start their career.
But are they ready for the reality of practice?
Thrive Hub, was developed to address these differences. We help early career clinicians build the mindset and communication skills that underpin safe, confident, and sustainable practice.
Thrive Hub will be an online membership community, where early career clinicians can meet others in a similar position; can get support from experienced clinicians; find resources to help with confidence and mindset, communication and clinical decision making.
We also deliver practical, honest sessions for final-year students and associates designed to smooth the transition between graduation and the realities of clinical practice.
The result?
More confident clinicians – no more imposter syndrome.
Stronger communicators – difficult patient conversations are handled with ease.
Better prepared associates – managing uncertainty without losing confidence.
Improved early-career retention – and better patient satisfaction!

Why Victoria Wheeldon set up the Thrive Hub community to support new graduates
Stopping young graduates giving up – why Victoria Wheeldon has set up the Thrive Hub community
Victoria is an experienced chiropractor with over 20 years of clinical experience. She currently runs her own practice in the south of England, where she is a strong advocate for providing personalised care, blending a combination of clinical evidence, her own extensive experience, and each patient’s personal values.
Victoria worked as a senior clinical lecturer and course leader at AECC School of Chiropractic, now HSU University. There, she supervised final-year students during their clinical placements, and she gained a deep understanding of the challenges students face as they transition from learning in to clinical practice.
In her role as a PRT trainer for the Royal College of Chiropractors, she mentors new graduates through their provisional training, offering guidance and support. Throughout her teaching and mentoring career, Victoria has been a source of kindness and encouragement, helping early-career clinicians build resilience, boost their confidence, and reignite their passion for helping others.
Outside of work, Victoria can mostly be found with her menagerie of horses, chickens, and cats. She flies her own Harris hawk, distils her own gin, enjoys wild swimming, speaks bad French, and identifies as a Swiftie.
